Stream video on my iPhone and IPP and everything works great

VLC for iOS is just as essential as VLC for your Mac/PC. It’s simply the best video player there is. This app bugs out every once in a while, but I find most of the glitches can be solved by killing the app and relaunching. I’ve been using VLC on my iPhones for years (and even longer on my computers) and love it. Also, just like with the desktop version, it is easy to adjust the audio delay within a video in case the sound of a video is out of sync. Click the clock icon to get to the audio delay tweak settings.

Update: The newest version of the app fixed the subtitle issue for me. This is a great app just like the desktop version. It plays all my media files in one app. Thanks to the developers they were pretty quick to fix the subtitle issue.

Subtitle .srt dont appear. Restarting the app doesnt help. Edit: thanks for the fix. Subtitle appears now. Appreciate your team effort. U guys r the best.

Still has the play back issue when restarting the video if you open another app. Either black screen or cant resume. You have to exit the current video then re open. Pretty annoying. And its been like this for a while. Previous versions didnt have this issue.

I can’t resume videos after tapping pause. You can’t pause a video by double tapping it even it is enabled in the settings. I have to tap “Done” and play the video again to resume.

Best media player on iOS

Some videos will mess up, where the sound will play and the video slider will move like normal, but the actual video will only show the first frame, PLEASE FIX THIS! Ran into another video which seems fine for the first frame but soon turns into a garbled mess, please fix. Add an option or setting that starts videos with looping already enabled. I want to have looping always on, but if I want to do so, I have to set it up each time, and it doesnt even keep it on. Usually the video finishes and closes itself while Im in the menu, which is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING... Regardless, it allows me to play webm files on iOS, which isnt too shabby. Just please make settings consistent between videos and when the app is closed and reopened.

After latest update, this app is completely unusable— literally, cant play a single file anymore. It freezes at the screen that shows the files that can be played iPhone X

UPDATE January 31: they fixed the issue with subtitles. Now that it has been fixed, I give this app 5 stars because it truly is a remarkable example of a great open source app developed by volunteers. OLD REVIEW: Subtitles don’t show on the video you are watching...the app detects the SRT file (because I can select that Subtitles track when I’m watching a video) but then the subtitles never show on screen. Tested on an iPad 2017 with iOS 11.2.2 and iOS 11.2.5. Really bad quality testing.

need support for Chromecast

For some dumb reason: I try to upload a video to Vk it says “General error. Try again?” Can you please fix this!!!!!!! But anyways the app is awesome!

Ever since the update on 25 January 2018, version 2.8.8 is faulty as it DOES NOT show any type subtitle for any type of video. Previous versions were completely fine. Please fix this!

Thanks to the new update. Not happy.

The subtitle no longer appears after updating to the latest version! It only appears if the subtitle is within the video(softsub) but not if it was a separate.srt file.
