VLC for Mobile App Reviews

Thanks to the VLC project for such a great media player. I wish local networking functionality wouldnt break with every other update, though. SMB doesnt work on this version. Lets do some better testing, guys.

VLC is perhaps one of the greatest media players that you can install on a computer. However, the iOS version is quite buggy which makes it very frustrating to use. It crashes constantly and fails frequently during downloads. It has some better features than the default media player, but be prepared for it to crash on you a lot.

Got a 100% crash when click on a apple time capsule folder.

This is useful video application I have ever seen but isnt support AC3 (A52 Audio) codecs. I dont watch my films. Please support AC3. Thanks.

Hey, In my opinion last version was perfect. But there is a lot of bugs in the latest update. also its glitchy. • some videos doesnt play in fullscreen. its stuck in the bottom left. I mean its 3/4 of the screen is black. 1/4 is video playing in the bottom left • finger control volume and brightness was perfect. But in this update its really glitchy. When you try changing volume in fullscreen, it makes video slow down( I mean lag occurs). Same goes with brightness.

After the latest update the app keeps freezing and crashing

With the latest update, i can no longer stream my onedrive videos. It just crashes. It was working fine before. Otherwise perfect app.

Last update after Cloud video is not working

When you try to connect to a filezilla FTP server it crashes

Hey VLC dev team, I dont know why but while Im playing 720p 600mb mp4 video, in the first 25 minute, it took %27 from my battery and my phone got really hot. I used netflix before on my iphone, which is streaming service and uses wifi, which supposed to use more power, yeah I mean It didnt happen with netflix. As an offline media player, vlc should be more lightweight and economic about using power at all.

Passlock and Touch ID still not fixed!

One of best players I ever had but once you upload movie which has corrupted data or even file name , crashes constantly...until you fix that I give you 2 stars. When you fix mentioned problem Ill give ya 5 stars .

Great app! The only thing I would like to see in next update is the remote control for my VLC app on Mac. That would be a perfect addition.

i lost all my videos after update despite of fact that those files are somewere in devices memory. Some files transfered via itunes are visible in app and some are not. Quality of thumbnails is far behind these generated in previous version. I was perfectly satisfied with previous version. This iteration is unusable for me.

Great app but not without flaws :( Ocasionally crashes. Especially if you are using DLNA or ftp. Minor user interface issues - the app isnt responding as you would expect (sometimes field with button witch does smth is slitly shifted to the actual visible button) Video playback - flawless.

On average crashes within 30 seconds from launch, its impossible to even select a movie to watch

I use it to play FLAC files from my NAS. It is doing great, but I strongly recomend adding a feature that would allow user to seek VLC library content while playing! Also ability to make playlists would be apreciated :)
