Wifi sharing never works... Sure you wait the 10 minuets for the file to transfer, then nothing... Thanks for getting our hopes up..

Based functionality kinda works but app crashes many times, will test the new update to see if fixed, need to be able to sort....it is a key feature missing.

1. The base preamp volume (flat curve) is too high, leading a limiter to strike in. Youll notice audible gain-control artifacts unless you lower the preamp. 2. Id love to save my custom EQ settings in an own preset, too. Currently you can set up your own EQ curve but since you cant save it, itll be gone in a new playback session. Implementing this will solve the upper issue, too as VLC would also remember a custom preamp setting. Other than that: Love VLC and Im so glad to have it available on iOS along with so many of its codecs.

Please fix this issue already!

Brutal. Completely botches the video loads from any format and now it is nigh-impossible to play videos from any cloud source. It crashes every time. Get your act together, VLC. You guys used to be good.

I see it now works better with Kodi. How can I use it with Kodi? Is there a How-to anywhere? Im using an old Mac G5 as my media server, and have an appletv gen 3 and gen 4, and an iPhone 6+. None are, or will be, jailbroken.

20 seconds delay for audio to load, poor video quality for at least a minute after the 30 second skip

can no longer stream videos over wmp server (upnp) since last update... not sure if version 2.7.0 or 2.7.1 server confirmed working using alternate media player so its something with the app

Hasnt worked since the last two updates! One of my favourite features of this app! Worked fine before but now wont transfer any files . Please fix. App is great other than that.

Allows you to easily customize the video playback speed.

Cant view rtsp streams any more. They used to work fine.

Please add Barracudas Copy as a cloud service!

It works well but you have to know a bit your network or your hardware on your network

Used to be great, now it doesnt work for s**t. How do you release an update that defective?! Did the studios bribe you?

A fantastic app, worthy of 5 stars except that its missing 2 crucial features to make it be best video player on iOS. 1) Picture on picture function for iOS 9 devices, its already great to be able to hear your movie while you do other work, but to have the choice to see in smaller size would be perfect. 2) Ability to export files to other apps. This will allow VLC to be the primary video library rather than just a video player. Adding these two features will make VLC a five-star app and one of the best in the App Store.

Downloaded this for Apple TV 4 and I have to say its quite disappointing. It plays mkv. yes.. But does not decode my dts or other 5.1 audio. It just sends 2 channel to my receiver. Several times it skips during playback of movie files and flac.file playback, metadata is not really that great, it constantly has to update the metadata instead of loading once and saving it like infuse does. I have to say if youre looking for a slick interface that plays mkv. with full audio decoding and smooth playback then infuse for atv4 is the best out there. The major downfall of infuse is that it doesnt play music files for some reason. Not even mp3s Note- Im steaming my media from an apple time capsule, therefore plex will not work for me.

2 years ago this app was working fine using files from a network drive. Then after an update, it simply stopped working. Then the "Dropbox" and other idiotic options appeared. It has never been able to play from a simple networked drive again. In short: it wont play unless you port your files to an other "cloud" medium. Very expensive on the bandwidth.

My use case is streaming media over wifi from a Mac Mini on OSX El Capitan. VLC sees the SMB share and appears to authenticate fine, but never lists any of the shared files or folders. (Ive got several other devices/apps that browse these fine, so I think its a VLC problem).
