Crashes as soon as you load a video! Cannot play anything anymore Roll back to previous version. Horrible update

Ever since you added shuffle play for videos (which is amazing thank you), every time my videos get to the next episode, the app crashes within 2 minutes of changing episodes!!! Every single time! Whether its on shuffle or not, it still happens. Please fix!

On my iPad Mini 2, playback with the newest version and anything 720p or above is choppy. The audio is fine, but video is poor. v2.3 is still the best version of this app.

Working nicely again now. Thank you for fixing VLC up with the new hardware decoding! Appreciate it.

Every time I try to access my local network the app crashes making it totally useless...

Some of my videos will play,while others just have a black screen, but audio can be heard.

And that is the only reason I put up with this app. Songs constantly stop playing on this version! Couple of iOS versions ago, music playback was slightly garbled and it took developers almost a year to rectify the problem. Get your act together.

This update did not fix the playback issues via local networks. Videos appear as only a black screen no audio. 2 versions ago it worked. I updated it stopped. Updated again, still not fixed.

VLC loves to play subtitles - whether you want them or not. Yep. You have to stop the film and manually turn them off EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU ACCESS A FILM. Not once in preferences. Not once in a film. BUT EVERY SINGLE TIME, even if you just paused it to go check email, etc. This would be such an easy fix, but nope. Subtitles are hear to stay. Update. This app does NOT work with iOS11. ?

Lots of issues with scrubbing: Can’t scrub at all using the playback timeline. Video just stalls and you have to restart the app. Gesture forward and back scrubbing only works if you go slowly. If you attempt to scrub fast it will stall and require a restart

I have loved this app ever since I found out how to get my network drive working with it; no need to ever convert files anymore. However, the new update claims to have added H.265 support, which ended up destroying its H.264 support. The newest update claims to have fixed it, but Im still getting many videos not playing at all, or just a blank/red screen screen with audio. Please fix this asap as I have had to find different programs to put the old version of VLC back just to continue watching videos.

Save your money, full of glitches, it’s a joke.

VLC doesn’t work properly in IOS11. You can’t delete items in your list that you have watched. An update is needed.

Scrolling through video with fingers freezes video (everything except “Done” becomes unresponsive) !

Previously my audio files had a blank black background but in latest version they have this annoying white music icon Also everything in iOS 11 at least is glitch af

Starts freezing up. Update made it worse. So buggy

I notice that there are too many artifacts in the video playback compared to other players such as GOM Player. At one time I had no problems with the VLC player for iOS but it is too glitchy now. Can you please fix? Thanks so much. P.S. I do really like your wifi sharing. That works extremely well and fast in light of the fact that Apple in their “wisdom” changed how files are uploaded to apps in their latest iTunes update. FYI: don’t update your iTunes to the latest!

Plays all of my media files just fine, the pause feature works, but whenever I pause the media I am watching & go to the home screen or another app briefly, then return back to the VLC app (without ever permanently closing it off) & I un-pause the paused media, I see a black screen instead of the image where I paused said media, & also un-pausing it plays sound only with a black screen for 3-5 seconds before the media re-appears again. It would be great if this could be fixed with an update.. Another thing that would be VERY useful is being able to play the media in a minimized window (picture in picture) on the iPad Pro much like the Netflix app offers. The above reasons are why I knocked off 1 star. I appreciate the updates & quick fixes you guys provide! This is on my 2nd Gen 12.9 iPad Pro 2, running iOS 11.0.1. THANK-YOU for improving the app!

App doesn’t resume playing after the alarm goes off. Typically if the alarm goes off an app resumes playing after you cancel the alarm. Since version 2.8, if the alarm goes off while you’re listening the app crashes and needs to be restarted before it will play again.

Add an in-app browser to make downloading of files easier.
