VLC for Mobile App Reviews

Had problems in the past, but latest version works on iPad, iPhone and AppleTV. Plays all my video formats and can stream from my media server and doesn’t crash unlike lot of other movie players I’ve tried. I can now put my WDTV to rest. Awesome job!

I enjoyed trouble free use until IOS11. Now scrubbing breaks everything and even restarting won’t let me continue the video. It stays broken until I delete and re-upload the video. So the app is almost useless now. I hope you can fix it. It must be stressful. Good luck! And thanks for trying.

Comparing this to Infuse, this looks like a Samsung comparing to iPhone PS: the iPhone X is out .. make an update please

When I select a video and choose: Share > I should be able to open the file with VLC. However, VLC isnt a visible option in that Menu. It needs to be added to the context menu. Other video players are available in the Context Menu, why not VLC?

It still crashes playback music. The update was no good

The app is awesome, although Im a sucker for convenience features. All my short animations I create, >1second, auto close upon opening. If we could get a feature to start content paused so that I can use the loop Feature, that would be awesome.

On ios11 play mpeg4 h264 part10 avc will be black screen but audio is work

Great videoplayer but it freezes a movie if you scroll fwd !!! VLC PLEASE FIX IT!!! ever since iOS 11, works fine on iOS 10!

Shame on all of you with that seek bar problem! After several years, you can’t fix too many of bugs and problems. Shame on you. Remove this app immediately from app store and never come back again.

When AirPlay a video to Apple TV, only the sound is coming to the tv, the video continues to play on iPhone. Must be a bug. If it’s a setting, it is too hidden to change. Other than that’s. It’s an awesome app. :)

Is hard tho use with no iOS 11 files integration

Its good that it allows me to play different formatting video. My problem is I cannot delete anything. So it is just eating up space on my phone. Waiting to see if a fix is released soon or Im deleting it.

Unplayable now. When you forward it, the video is stuck even after the update.

I have used this player for years and I generally have no issues with it. However after the update released after the update for the new iOS, I have been unable to use it. I typically listen to lectures on this device at double speed. Unfortunately, if I want to fast forward or rewind while using it on faster speeds than normal, the program freezes and makes me start all over again. This after a lot of fidgeting to get the lecture to play again. ?

Duplicate files are still a problem as of the multiple recent updates still. Even just deleting one file (which deletes another 9) crashes the app.

What is happening here? This used to work incredibly well, now all in a sudden you can’t even get the video to start playing where you paused. It always starts from the beginning. This basically means finish whatever you are watching in one go or you are screwed.

Great app. It usually plays everything. But since the latest software update, it has video screen freeze for certain file types. Audio keeps playing though. I hope this can be fixed soon.
