iPhone 4 iOS 7.1.2

Ne fonctionne plus du tout, lappli crash dès le démarrage?

Was almost perfect... now ?

This is THE goto app for video, but the last update has a few bugs, including one that is really challenging. • No audio (BT) unless you slow playback to ~80%. You can increase the rate slowly and retain audio sometimes. • Scrubbing seems to be random/broken This seems to be the story with VLC. Stable and almost perfect for a long time and then a buggy maintenance release. Unfortunate for such a useful and, honestly, required app. Realizing that it is free and an obvious labor of love makes it hard to complain too loudly, but I’d rather pay for consistency than be on a Thanksgiving flight a few days post update and have hours of video unavailable. Troubleshooting took up most of the climb out.

No playlists option

Would give 5 if there was an option to create playlists

New update broke ios 8

The newest update may have fixed ios7 compatibility but it instacrashes on ios8 now.

Fix looping and subtitles.

The app should save your settings between videos, options set for subtitles and looping should be consistent when you turn off the app or switch videos. Looping should really be turned on by default however... Also, the menu scrolls weird... (FIXED! STAR +1!) Regardless, it allows me to play webm files on iOS, which isnt too shabby. Just please make settings consistent between videos and when the app is closed and reopened.

Not playing anything

Everything I’ve load shows but nothing plays Why?

Great app but 2 small issues.

Great app for what I use it for. I use it on my iPad and only watch shows I have copied to the app. I don’t use any of the advanced features. The only problems I’m having now are: 1) after hitting pause, then unpausing, the picture starts immediately but the sound is off by a second or two. I have two gesture back to get the sound and the picture to re-sync. 2) sometimes, when I gesture back, the screen goes blank. The sound resumes but the picture does not. I have to click on the Done button to exit the current show, then restart it. Overall, this is a great app. It does everything I needed to it to and plays everything I watch.

Where is the update for the iPhone X?

We just had an update for fixes but nothing addressing the full screen resolution standard of the iPhone 10. Netflix and other video players are already up to date with the 18:9 resolution. I’m waiting for the iPhone X update before I add more stars

VLC Media Player

Stop working after the last update. I like the app when it works.

Absolutely wonderful

I tried using the VLC iOS app back on my iPod Touch 2nd Generation and at that time (2010-ish), I hated it because it was just so unwieldy and subtitles didn’t work well. Thus I switched to AV Player and never looked back... until now - I installed out of curiosity and man have things changed - the interface is punchy, love that my library (with its naming convention already optimized for Plex) can be tossed in and organized automatically, subs work wonderfully - I love it thus far. I’m docking a point for the fact that there is not optimization for iPhone X, but once that’s done I will absolutely give this 5/5 stars.

Much more acceptable video application

For those who wants another opinion besides the ones arguing that this is a terrible software: This application is based much more on video in storage, instead of through local network. It has solid video playback capabilities as well as a much more refined control over any other application Ive seen. VLC allows for many ways to import your media to the application, such as wirelessly in local network, transferring from a computer, or downloading it from the web. As for all works in progress, it has quite a few bugs like the folder management issues, but Im quite impressed with many of the updates that the devs managed to pushed out, and they often do have regular updates. Really a good application that got a bad rating from the start even if its still being improved upon.

Great app but not good over a WiFi network

I use SAMBA to play video over my WiFi network but whenever I exit a folder, the file explorer shows the file list from the beginning. It is so annoying. The app has also problems with playing AVI files. While scrolling a video in AVI format over a WiFi network, the video freezes.

No iOS11 integration

Developer keeps making sure people who use iOS7 get a stability update, leaving iOS11 in the utter limbo, you cannot access your own videos you shot, you cannot access iOS file system and the file system cannot access VLC, this app is trash look for something else.

Very needed app but a bit buggy

This app needs updates to improve ui and several bugs. The concept however is crucial to have on any device. you must fix the app for iphone x

not working properly again

its not even opening now

Needs iPhone X support

App needs iPhone X support

No iPhone X support

Would be nice if you guys started supporting the new iPhone. Kind of strange when such an easy implementation goes ignored

Kinda works

Since iOS 11 was released this app has nothing but problems. The support completely sucks and I’m stuck with these issues. Annoying audio loop happens when you pause your show when the charger is plugged in and the audio is going out of the headphone port. Another bug is it glitches and will not let you delete your videos and your forced to delete the app. This app has been plagued with issues in the developers are lazy.

UI doesn’t work

Since last update the UI doesn’t even respond properly on my iPad. Icons and folders don’t respond when I tap on them.

Doesn’t work.

I just updated VLC, and after that when i try to open the application it doesn’t want me to enter my passcode (I set passcode for it before this update) and all I have is a blank screen with orange VLC logo on top :| I have 70GB movie on this application and I can’t reach them.
