Problem after the last update: I can’t see the included subtitles on mkv files. Seems like the best attempt at creating the most versatile iOS media player but needs improvements obviously. Skipping in the video causes problems. Trying to resume a video after reopening from background also causes issues. My workaround is to open the video again or skip to another scene and then come back.

I upload my videos with subtitles.( same name with the video). But in the new version, i cant use my subtitles. İt doesnt show it. Plase fix it. I phone x. İos 11.2.5. Old version was working.

VLC is a great media player but after upgrading to 2.8.8, subtitle size was reduced to about 1 pixel high. You can only barely see the subtitles as a small thin line if there is a white background (you can see other users with the same issue in vlc forums). Urgent fix needed to resolve this major hiccup.

No subtitles
