Subtitles don’t work anymore

Subtitles don’t show on the video you are watching...the app detects the SRT file (because I can select that Subtitles track when I’m watching a video) but then the subtitles never show on screen. Tested on an iPad 2017 with iOS 11.2.2 and iOS 11.2.5. Really bad quality testing.
