Hardware acceleration is broken

Running latest iOS10 on ipad air 1. When enabled any local vid stops after 10s, didnt bother testing remote content. App then goes in background but does not actually crash. Disabling HW acceleration is a workaround. All other settings at default. Good luck fixing...
